Bourne
Bourne is a medium-sized community bisected by The Cape Cod Canal. It is the only town that occupies land on both sides of the Canal, which is well known for the opportunity of sport fishing it offers.
The town is famous with the fact that it differs from the other places on Cape Cod as it remains nice and quiet even during the summer. In Bourne you can enjoy numerous quiet harbors. Also it is the perfect place for swimming and boating.
Bourne beaches include Monument Beach and Scusset Beach.
Aptucxet Trading Post is an unique museum showcasing 17th Century furniture, firearms, cooking utensils. Much of the Cape side of Bourne is occupied by the Massachusetts Military Reservation, consisting of Otis Air National Guard Base, Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod, and Camp Edwards Army National Guard and Reserve Training Site.
