Sandwich
Located on both sides of the Cape Cod Canal Sandwich is the oldest town on Cape Cod.
The beaches in Sandwich, stretching for miles, provide a beautiful view of the many vessels that pass through on their way to or from the Boston area.
Not too far from the marina is historic Sandwich Village which is a world renowned tourist destination, providing a glimpse into New England's rich colonial history.
The town is famous with the Sandwich glass. Created by the Sandwich Glass Company, all styles of glass are on display at the Sandwich Glass Museum.
Built in 1654 and restored in 1961 the Dexter Grist Mill is the oldest mill on The Cape. It offers fresh mill-ground corn, which is usually for sale in season.
Sandwich's largest and best-known attraction is The Heritage Plantation. The museum shows plenty of diverse collections including over 30 antique automobiles from before World War II, antique firearms, military miniatures, and Currier & Ives prints.
The Yesteryears Doll and Miniature Museum houses antique dolls from all over the world. The structure, built in 1638, also features a collector's gift shop offering antique dollhouses, toys and miniatures.
The Sandwich Broadwalk reveals the natural beauty of the town. It crosses a creek and marsh through low dunes to Town Neck Beach.
